First, read a good home-insulation specification sheet or brochure. Read, understand, and follow each section.
Cost is the one and only consideration when looking at a home’s insulation. Specifications should include the price of the chosen insulation as well as the number of square feet of the insulation.
When price isn’t a concern, try to use a product that will save you money in the long run.
Sources include local insulation dealers as well as the U.S. Department of Energy’s Web site (www.eere.energy.gov/consumer/homeins/homeins.html).
When selecting a new insulation, try not to have emotional attachment to specific brands. For example, you should not pick the product that you feel it looks best with your existing home’s color scheme.Over half a million people signed a petition calling for the London mayor to rename the Tower Bridge after Venezuelan-born ruler Simón Bolívar.
More than 50,000 people have signed a petition calling for the Tower Bridge to be renamed after Venezuelan-born Simon Bolívar.
The famous historic landmark was opened in 1894 as one of the world’s first bascule bridges. The £136 million project, which cost £1.5million to build, was a gift from the City of London to the British capital to mark the monarch’s diamond jubilee in 1897.
The petition calling for the name to be changed after Bolívar, who helped to establish the first republic in South America, was set up in just under 10 days by a 10-year-old boy called Tim Greenhalgh.
‘I’d really like to see the Tower Bridge renamed to the Simon Bolívar Bridge,’ he told MailOnline. ‘He changed history in South America and I’d like to see something to mark that.’
The petition has been signed by more than half a million people on just 10 days and the writer of the online petition claimed it had received signatures from ‘worldwide’.
Tim said he would probably ask his parents to sign it.
‘I think my mum and dad would sign it because he was a great South American hero,’ he said.
The petition said: ‘This bridge was paid for by the City of London, a gift from the British, in honour of Queen Victoria
